Quote Of The Day..

Today's "Quote Of The Day" is "The strongest man in the world is the man who stands alone."
What does this mean? My opinion on this quote is basically you never know how strong you are until your left completely alone. They aren't talking about strong as in how tough you are or how many fights you can win. They mean how in the worse of situations that you can pull through and still manage to smile.
When your left alone in this great big world you can always find something positive to smile about. Whether it may be walking down the road and hearing the birds chirping or just seeing the flowers blooming out.
When you think you have hit rock bottom just remember it could be way worse, there are kids out there who wake up in the morning and dig through a trash can for there morning breakfast while your sitting back complaining about what your mom cooked you or maybe she didn't cook and you had to eat cold cereal.
Keep your head up and smile no matter what your going through things will get better.
God throws hard stuff your way just to see how much you can handle.. :)

Feeling a bit blue today..

Why am I feeling so blue today? Seems everything is suddenly hitting me at once..Being away from Edward and others who are close to me.. Feeling my daughter growing inside of me and not being able to share the "happy" things with Edward. It seems as though my life is falling apart and all I can do is sit back and watch it happen.. like that expression "seeing your life flash before your eyes." Except that I here watching my life happen and I really don't have a say in what happens.. I feel as though I'm helpless and not being able to use my voice to say "No this isn't the way it should be."
I miss my mother, and right now its hitting me hard. I'm still a kid myself and now I'm going to be a mother. Most teen moms have there mothers to turn to when they need help or advise, what will I do? My mom wasn't a bad mom. She taught me about respect and honesty. She taught me how to tie my shoes and properly brush my teeth. She taught me how to write my name in cursive writing..Every year for Christmas she would sit up crying worried to death that she hadn't done enough for us kids and we would wake up the next morning opening up everything that we had asked for and more. My mom made sure I had clean clothes to wear and there was food on the table every night. Why do people seem to think she was not fit to be a parent? All she was trying to do was teach me right from wrong. She did what any other parent would have done if they were put in the situation I had put her in. She knows she went to far, and that it could have been handled a little different. She's only human, does this give you the right to judge?

He's My Hero..

Have you ever had someone you looked up to or had someone who made your life so much better? Remember back in middle school when you had to write about someone who influenced your life in a good way? While all the other kids were writing about the President or some other famous person, I sat in the back writing my essay on my step dad Jeff. Nobody understood why I picked him until I got up and read my essay to the class. Without my step dad my family would have been nothing and would have had nothing. He was only 19 years old when he meet my mom. When they met, my mom had me and my three older sisters and he walked in the relationship knowing she was a single mom of 4 girls. 19 YEARS OLD and he treated us like we were his own. My mom said when he asked her on their first date she said she couldn't go because she didn't have a babysitter for us and he asked what do you need a babysitter for? And she said Jeff I have 4 kids remember and he said yes i know but what do you need a sitter for, bring them with us. So he loaded all of us up and took us to the drive in movies. Not many young men would have pursued a relationship with a woman knowing she had 4 kids already.. At the time my mom had a not so good job and when my dad found out about it he made her quit and got her a job working with his mom at the bar. He helped my mom stop all her bad habits and get her back up on her feet again. If it wasn't for him my family would be nowhere with nothing. All of my siblings would probably be in foster care somewhere. I can remember him sleeping on the couch one day and I crawled up on his belly and asked, "Can I call you Daddy?" And he said in the gentlest voice I had ever heard," Sweetheart, you can call me anything you want." Ever since then he's been my daddy and there ain't no one who can tell me different!!

My Childhood...

My name is Misty Ray, I was born on September 19,1992 in Pittsburg,PA. I was the youngest of three girls and had a younger brother. Raised by my mother and step father in Culloden, WV, because my bio father chose a different lifestyle than what my mother approved of me growing up around. At the time I thought I had a pretty boring childhood growing up way out in the country, all there was to do was play in the creek or run through the woods acting as though we were Indians. But looking back now I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for the "boring" childhood I lived. Most don't appreciate life until they are older and having children themselves and they realize what all worse could have happened or how bad it really could have been. I used to sit back and think my life sucked and all the other kids had cooler parents because my mom made us get up and go to school every morning and if we didn't make the grades that we should have then we were grounded. But if it weren't for that I wouldn't have the knowledge I do today or I would have been in trouble with the state for not going to school. My mom made us do house chores every day and wake up early on Saturday morning to do a big house clean while the other kids slept in, but if it wasn't for that I would know what responsibility is and how to manage a clean house for my family in the future.
